What water should I use?
Use distilled or reverse-osmosis (RO) water. Minerals in tap water build up in nozzle tips over time and can clog them, which is why nozzle tips aren't covered by the warranty.
Can I add more enclosures later?
Yes, and that's what MistKing is designed for. Starter supports up to 10 nozzles, Ultimate up to 20 and Advanced 70+. Add tubing, a fitting and a nozzle for each new enclosure. You don't need a new system.
How loud is it?
Quiet. The pumps sit on vibration-dampening rubber feet, and they only run during a misting cycle, usually a few seconds at a time.
What happens if the reservoir runs empty?
Nothing breaks. MistKing pumps are designed to run dry safely. Refill the reservoir and the next cycle runs as normal.
What's ZipDrip and do I need it?
ZipDrip releases the pressure left in the line after each cycle, so nozzles stop crisply instead of dripping. It's included with Ultimate and available as an add-on for Starter and Advanced. It's especially worth having on display enclosures.
Which timer or controller should I choose?
The included ST-24 seconds timer suits most setups: you set when it mists and for how long, down to the second. The RCT-24 repeat-cycle timer runs short cycles at a fixed interval, and the HT-24 hygrostat mists automatically when humidity falls below your target.
What does the warranty cover?
Every system includes a 2-year pump warranty and a 1-year warranty on parts. Extended coverage of 4 years on the pump and 2 years on parts is available when you order. Nozzle tips aren't covered, because water quality affects them.
